Working Principle

The horizontal slurry pump is a single-stage single-suction centrifugal pump with a horizontal shaft. The motor drives the shaft and impeller to rotate at high speed. The slurry (liquid mixed with solid particles) enters the impeller. Under centrifugal force, slurry is thrown to the outer edge of the impeller and gains kinetic energy and pressure. The slurry flows into the volute, flow velocity decreases, kinetic energy converts into pressure energy, and slurry discharges from the outlet. A low-pressure zone is formed at the center of the impeller after slurry is thrown out. The pressure of slurry pool continuously pushes slurry into the impeller to realize continuous transportation.   Structural feature: Double pump casing structure. Impeller, guard plates and volute liner are made of high-chromium cast iron or rubber to resist abrasion of solid particles.
